Thank you for stopping by to learn more about my work. I am an empathetic People Ops Leader, a certified Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Coach and Practitioner, a career & executive coach, a Latina that immigrated to the US at the age of 9 for a better life, and above all, a mom. I have worked with organizations and individuals on career development topics for the past 15 years, leading with a data-driven approach but always anchoring to empathy and DEI.
Everything I do is to fulfill my WHY which is to invest in people’s growth so that they’re able to achieve their improbable. I’ve dedicated my career to developing professionals through meaningful programs, training, workshops, and now through building a world-class organizational culture as the Head of People Operations for a research firm based in DC that consults Fortune 500 companies on Talent Acquisition best practices.
I am passionate about DEI as the common thread in all my work because those are the foundational blocks to any organization’s success. The recruitment process, the onboarding, and the internal Learning & Development practices that organizations adopt and nurture will directly impact their ability to attract and retain high-performing teams and individuals. I focus my work on working with both individuals on career exploration and with organizations on organizational culture and DEI. I believe that we need both to truly better the world of work for all.
I graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Interpersonal Communications and have certifications in DEI through AIHI Academy and Berkeley’s Center for Intercultural Leadership. I’m also a certified career coach and L&D professional but more importantly, I am passionate about and committed to bettering the world of work at all levels.
Colombian by birth, my career has taken me from Silicon Valley where I started my journey as a People Ops professional and coach to settling back in the DC area where I live with my husband and 4-year old ray of sunshine.
